Saturday 25th October 2008 saw
St. Francis' held it's first Autumn Fair since 2003 and it was
not only a great success but loads of fun as well.
A big 'Thank You' goes out to all
those who organised, ran the stalls, made tea, coffee and cakes
and also to those who came and made the day such a great success.
The quaity of the goods on offer
was testimony to the many skills to be found amongst the members
of the church. We had stunning jewellry, professionally made
cards, knitted stuff that showed their creator was not a nit!
The cakes were great on the lips and will doubtless have also
added to the hips as well and were so well received that all
had been sold long beofre we reached the end of the day.
At the close of play we found that not only had we had fun but
that we had raised £400! This will be used for the Kid's
Club and other works within the church.
Thank You to all who made this such a success.
