Cheese, Wine and Chocolate!
Saturday, the seventeenth of November saw the church building packed with people enjoying themselves as we tasted a host of fairly traded products. These ranged from beer and wine through to the more familiar products including of course, chocolate!
The foodstuffs on display came from the Tamworth Co-Operative and the jewellry and other producrs were provided courtesy of Mandy McIntosh, who runs a fairtrade shop in Ashby. The chocolate fountain flowed and proved to be extremely popular as did the many other delights on offer.
It is hoped that this will become a regular feature of the church's social life. Now can anyone explain why we don't do fair trade with our farmers, especially in the area of milk and cheese production?
